Is that a Space Ship or a Temple?

Hey everyone!!!! This past week was really awesome. Its amazing to see how my perspective is changing and things that probably would have really bothered me before, aren't anymore. The 3 investigators that we added last week either stood us up or gave us a fake number.....at first I was a little ticked. But then as I thought about it I realized that I just felt sorry for them more than anything. They all could have used this Gospel soooo much and it would have brought them so much peace and joy in this life. But we all have our free agency and so hopefully one day the seed we planted with them will grow.

On Saturday we got up early and decided to go GARAGE SELLING as a way to meet people who actually live in our area. It totally reminded me of being home and made me miss our fun summer mornings going garage selling! But we met a couple of people and gave them our numbers. I got a pretty cool UCSD sweatshirt for $1 which was literally a steal! Then we got invited to go to a Mother-Daughter activity with the activity girls which was way fun!! I got to be the photographer at the photo-booth which was super fun! The girls here are adorable. Then Sister Sorensen and I got to dress up and take pictures too which was great. Afterwards we helped take down everything and do the dishes for everyone so that the leaders could get to work on time. It really helped us to build a lot of trust with the sisters in the ward and it was a really positive experience!

On Monday we had lunch with Bruce R. McConkie's cousin, Norma Kerby, and her husband and they are just AMAZING people! Their life stories are so remarkable. And we had dinner with another elderly couple and they are just so inspirational! Their testimonies are so strong and I hope I can be like them when I'm old. We shared with them 1 Peter 3: 10&14-15 and talked about how the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way that we can live and true and sincere happy life. By sacrificing our time and lives for righteousness sake, the Lord will bless us so much for our efforts!

Today we got to go to the San Diego Temple and all I can say is WOOOOWWW!!! That is officially my favorite temple EVER! It is sooo gorgeous and the Celestial Room literally took my breath away. I am so grateful to be a missionary serving my Lord and Savior for 18 months and I am just on cloud 9 every day. I have learned so much about how important it is to change our thoughts and by doing so it will change our hearts. Every day I am praying to be more Christ-like and charitable and patient and I am seeing it begin to take effect. I love you all and hope the Lord blesses you with everything!

Love, Sister Morgan
